I thought I would be a natural at climbing, I was always an athlete and naturally good at sports. So, I didn’t understand WHY I sucked so much at rock climbing. I had horrible technique, I would get pumped after one or two routes, and I just felt like I couldn’t hold on to those stupid small holds.

I would go to the rock gym and climb all the time, everyone kept telling me "Brian just climb more and you’ll get better." Have you heard this crap before? "Just keep climbing you’ll get better."

Well I felt like I was hitting my head against the stone wall… literally! Nothing I did was working. It felt like the harder I worked at it, the less progress I was actually making.

After a while, I even started resenting any climber who was stronger and better than me — especially the climbers who made it look so darn easy.

After reading every rock climbing book, magazine, and manual I could get my hands on and experimenting with all the training techniques, plans, devices, supplements… EVERYTHING I could find… I still wasn’t making the progress that I wanted to.

I had started making friends with some of the most experienced climbers around… professionals and full-timers. In fact, I felt so comfortable with them that one afternoon… I just came out, expressed my frustration, and simply asked for help.

Have you ever heard the saying "If you want a shortcut to success, find someone who is successful and ask them to show you how to get there!"

In just a few short months, I learned FAR MORE from these climbing professionals than I had learned during the previous years of struggling on my own.

My climbing changed dramatically… my strength, technique, mental toughness, footwork, confidence, everything.

No longer was I that weak, average climber that no one knew… now I was the strong, confident climber hangin’ with the pro’s — and having a blast doing it!

Fact is, the secrets I learned from these expert climbers were not the complicated, frustrating and time consuming things I had been doing all those years.

You see, I discovered that climbing like the experts is more about working smarter, not harder (no training 7 days a week).

What I discovered is so simple that, looking back now, I realize the biggest thing holding me back from being a better climber and having more fun doing it… was ME!

Do you sometimes get upset that you can’t figure out how do certain moves or techniques that other climbers make look easy?

Would you like to be stronger, but DON’T WANT to go the extremes, like training 7 days a week?!

Do you feel like you could be a better and stronger climber… if you just had the TIME to train and climb more?
